Key Performance Indicators

Key performance indicators (KPIs) and their associated benchmarks are important tools for Calgary Homeless Foundation as well as for all of the agencies in Calgary’s Homeless-Serving System of Care. As our community becomes increasingly data-driven, analysis, comparison and evaluation are major mechanisms for systems improvement, decision-making and planning.

In our KPI framework, data is the voice of the homeless.

And this data is the key mechanism used to continually refine Calgary’s Homeless-Serving System of Care. We use it to foster Communities of Learning and to better understand what supports work best, who they work best for and how they help the most.

As we utilise this data through our iterative KPI process, we can all be more nimble and integrate what we’ve learned into our service delivery – and continually improve the System of Care for our city’s most vulnerable.
