Coordinated Access and Assessment, or CAA, is the system used by Calgary Homeless Foundation and agencies in the city to improve the experience of people accessing the system of care.
As part of the CAA, we accurately triage people’s needs using the Housing Plan and the Needs and Services Questionnaire. If further help is required, placement committees review the plan and questionnaire to refer individuals to appropriate programs and supports.
The CAA promotes a more cohesive system of care, ensuring that we are closer to reaching the day when people’s experiences of homelessness are rare, brief and non-recurring.
